Meet the Grower -
Started at Tweed: October 27, 2014
Job Title: Production Assistant
With passion and persistence, a penchant for smart work, and a smile that stretches over his face, it's not hard to tell why Bilal has become an indispensable asset to the grow team.
Born in Colombo to parents of Sri Lankan descent, Bilal emigrated at three-years-old to Bangkok, Thailand, where he graduated high school. A blues traveler with an insatiable itch for rhythm, he was again on the move by his late teens. In Canada he attended Carleton University, from where he now holds a BSc with a major in integrated science.
As a Production Assistant, he has brought not only a wealth of knowledge to Tweed, but also an infectious fascination with the intricacies of the marijuana plant. Going forward with his career Bilal is looking to continue adding to his cannabis credentials, in particular with hopes of one day helping Tweed consult prospective international clients.
