Meet Tweed's New Better Living Series.
At Tweed, we take a holistic approach to managing your symptoms, with medical cannabis being just one part of the equation. In our new Better Living series, our aim is to introduce you to additional ways you can improve your overall health and well-being (as always, we highly recommend discussing these options with your doctor to make sure they are right for you).
As part of this series we will meet with a variety of specialists to discover alternative therapies to help you manage your symptoms. In our first post, we’ll meet Ottawa-based Kate Durie – yoga and meditation instructor – whose story many of you will resonate with. After suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Kate introduced yoga into her life for relief chronic pain as a result of her injury and now shares this passion with the community through her teaching.
“Transformation begins with a distinguishing moment in time when we make the first step towards a lifestyle change. Your life is important - treasure it with implementing positive disciplines". -Yogini Kaliji
If yoga is something you’ve been considering but have been bit wary to try, meeting Kate will surely give you the push you need. Look for her story next week.
Is there an alternative therapy you'd like to learn more about? We'd love to hear from you in the comments section below.
Better Living starts here.
