We’ve Got It Fig-ured Out With These Cannabis-Infused Fig & Honey Parfaits

When it comes to cannabis consumption, remember the golden rule: start low and go slow. And just to be clear — our recipe calls for cannabis butter and cannabis-infused oils that you've made on your own.* Start with a strain that contains equal or greater amounts of CBD than THC, note exactly how many grams you add to the recipe, and test it out using just a little bit to see if you’re comfortable with the product before cooking with any sizeable amount. We recommend beginning with no more than the equivalent of 2.5 mg of THC, and always waiting until the next day (at least) before increasing. And of course, carefully mark any foods and products which contain any amount of cannabis, and always keep them out of the reach of minors.

Don’t Wig Out Fig & Honey Parfaits Recipe

  • 5 figs
  • Coconut oil (we recommend Penelope-infused)
  • Liquid honey
  • 2 Hershey chocolate bars
  • 1 pint of vanilla yogurt
  • 1 pint of strawberries

1. Thinly slice the figs. (But you gotta find them first, for figs are notoriously sheepish and shy.)

2. Mix as much or as little Penelope-infused coconut oil as you want into some liquid honey. But make sure you whip it good, with more honey than oil.

3. Chop the Hershey bar (a clear nod to our past, as our headquarters are in the old Hershey Factory in Smiths Falls). Set aside two squares per parfait for later.

4. In your fanciest cups, layer yogurt, sliced figs, more yogurt, Penelope honey, even more yogurt, chopped chocolate, and strawberries.

5. Top with any remaining figs, any remaining strawberries, and those two remaining squares of chocolate you so diligently set aside earlier.

Figs are fun, eh? Figgin’ right they are. Aaaand you’re welcome.

*Disclaimer: If you're new to this whole “cooking with cannabis” thing and aren’t comfortable making your own cannabis-infused butter or oils, we recommend purchasing a balanced cannabis oil and using that. Start by adding just 2.5 mg of that oil to the recipe. Remember to start low and go slow, and always wait at least 24 hours before increasing the dosage.

Oh, and even though these treats are tasty for adults, they MUST be kept out of reach of children. As with all other cannabis products, store any cannabis-infused food in a location not accessible by children. Lockable cases are available for purchase, too. When it comes to keeping cannabis away from kids, you can never be too careful.
